A Survey of Cryptographic Algorithm Usage (A30a)
The choice of cryptographic algorithms and corresponding key lengths is a challenge when designing a product. There are many national and industry standards, as well as common practices to be considered. In this presentation, we will examine the trends in recommendations on the use of cryptographic algorithms and key sizes from around the world and for different industries. We will also discuss the trends associated with early implementation of post quantum cryptography, and the differences between NIST and European guidance.
