Hardcopy Devices iTC Update—HCD cPP v1.0 (U23b)
After many years of hard work, the Hardcopy Devices iTC (HCD iTC) published their first HCD cPP v1.0 in August 2022.
HCD iTC is a technical community to facilitate an efficient procurement of hardcopy devices using the Common Criteria methodology for information technology security evaluation. Three sub working groups under HCD iTC – Network SG, Hardware-anchored Integrity Verification SG, and Secure Erase SG – worked closely to create the new extended security components and migrate the existing SFRs from other cPPs.
This presentation will provide the technical efforts and challenges that enabled the creation of a useful, realistic cPP and SD. This presentation will also include technical recommendations and proposals on how the CCRA and EUCC can utilize the deliverables of HCD iTC with the future plan.
We are looking forward to the next stage of our development when the HCD cPP is actively used in the community.
