Towards Collaborative Protection Profiles for Biometric Systems (U23b)
This presentation will introduce the biometrics security iTC that was established during 2016, the current structure of the working group and the main challenges addressed since its origin. Security evaluation of biometric products have been discussed at different levels for more than a decade, but until now it has never been possible to come up with an internationally recognized general framework for all modalities. One of the most important goals of the iTC is to release collaborative PPs and related Supporting Documents for different use cases that would address the main issues related to CC evaluation of biometric TOEs, i.e. biometric recognition performance, presentation attack detection and integration within the TOE environment. One of the main focus for 1 year has been a mobile use case. This presentation will cover the status of the documents (cPP, SDs) developed until Q3 2018 by the iTC and the expected roadmap.
