Update From Turkish Common Criteria Certification Scheme (U20b)
This talk covers the journey of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in the Common Criteria domain, beginning in 2003 with the signing of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) on behalf of Turkey. It focuses on significant milestones over the past 20 years. The speaker, the laboratory license evaluator of OKTEM Laboratory, Turkey’s first Common Criteria Evaluation Facility (ITSEF), and the certifier of the first Common Criteria certificate for a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) product in 2008, as well as the head of the Turkish Common Criteria Certification Scheme for the last four years, will discuss Turkey’s successful completion of the Shadow Assessment in 2010, leading to its status as a CCRA Authorizing Member. The talk will also cover developments up to the present day, lessons learned, and future expectations within the scope of the upcoming EUCC developments, as well as the necessary actions Turkey needs to undertake. Additionally, the talk will mention Turkey’s approach to Cyber Security certification in collaboration and compliance with EU legislation to provide the free movement of IT goods and services in the EU region as a non-EU member country but a long-term candidate.
