Dana Al-Abdulla
Biography
Dana Yousif Al-Abdulla is the Director of National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency, and the Qatar Common Criteria Scheme (QCCS) Director.
Dana holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Qatar University and a master’s degree from HEC Paris in Strategic Business Unit Management. She holds professional certifications such as GICSP in Industrial Control Systems Security, GCFA in Advanced Forensics Analysis, and GSLC in Cyber Security Leadership.
Dana has made significant contributions to the establishment and operation of the Qatar Computer Emergency Response Team (Q-CERT). With over 17 years of experience, she has developed expertise in different cyber security fields including incident management, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, policies, governance, national cyber strategies and data privacy.
Dana has cultivated her expertise in data privacy and leads the competent department of privacy law in Qatar, National Data Privacy Office (NDPO).
She has led various cyber security and data privacy initiatives and projects on a national level, contributing to numerous endeavors aimed at enhancing Qatar’s cybersecurity posture and encouraging youth to pursue careers in the field.
In addition, Dana has been a founder of the Qatar Common Criteria Scheme. In her role as scheme director, she played a key role establishing the scheme and leading the team including the achieved recognition of the Qatar Scheme as a certificate authorizing nation. Under her leadership, she continues to improve QCCS operations and other cyber assurance programs and initiatives in the State of Qatar.
