John Billow

John Billow has extensive experience with global security and cyber issues. He currently heads the department responsible for the Swedish National Cybersecurity Certification Authority. Preceding this he held a position at Interpol’s Cybercrime Directorate based in Singapore working with partnership, strategy and policy. He previously served as a Swedish civil servant in a variety of roles focusing on cyber, external and internal security, transnational crime, terrorism, peace and security and police cooperation at the Ministry of Justice in Sweden, at government agencies and in diplomatic postings as justice counsellor for UN and EU in New York and Brussels respectively. He holds a Master of Laws from Uppsala University.
