Common Criteria (CC)—Maintenance and Development (B23a)
In 2022, the new ISO/IEC 15408:2022 series and ISO/IEC 18045:2022 as well as the corresponding CCRA version CC/CEM:2022 were successfully finished and published, providing improved contents and new concepts for a flexible and meaningful application of the standards. How to continue the success story of the CC/CEM ? How to deal with experience gained in the application of the new standards ? How to evolve the CC/CEM in view of addressing new or changed market needs and widening market acceptance ? What could a CC/CEM roadmap look like ? In close cooperation among ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 3, the CCRA and the CC community continuous work on the CC/CEM standards take place. Hereby, experience collected in the application of the CC/CEM is fed back into the standards as well as preparatory steps for future editions addressing new topics have already been started in order to keep the standards up-to-date and attractive. This talk gives an insight into the WG 3 and CCRA experts’ joint current works aimed at the 2026 CC/CEM as well as future editions, and provides information on the maintenance and development of the CC/CEM standards.
