Panel: BOMs—Current State and Strategy (A20b)
Bills of Materials including SBOMs, HBOMs and CBOMs, continue to be a focal area in nations. SBOMs are a requirement for products with digital elements in the EU market. NIAP has had a pilot for Application Software products since March 2024 and has analyzed use of CBOMs in conjunction with the lab atsec. This panel will discuss the current state of BOM use (including HBOMs and firmware) for vulnerability management and monitoring as well as thoughts about the future of BOMs and updates to BOMs.
