Gaetano Cavarretta

Gaetano Cavarretta works in the Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale (ACN – Italy), where he is involved in Common Criteria certifications of ICT products for the Italian Certification Body OCSI (Organismo di Certificazione della Sicurezza Informatica).

He began his career working on the analysis, design, and implementation of complex hardware and software systems, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, having previously worked in the private sector before joining ACN.

Gaetano has 13 years of experience in the implementation and evaluation of ISO/IEC 15408 products in different areas and 4 years as a Cyber Security Manager in the space sector.

He regularly participates in different ENISA ad-hoc working groups for the development of new European Cybersecurity Certification Schemes and he is also involved in defining how to certificate the European Digital Identity Wallet.

He holds a degree in Computer Engineering, along with professional certifications including DPO (Data Protection Officer), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) from ISACA and GDSA (GIAC Defensible Security Architecture) from GIAC.
