Ilyes Azouani

Ilyes Azouani is Head of the AI Department and AI Testing Laboratory Director at CLR Labs, where he leads the development of AI testing and evaluation methodologies aligned with the EU AI Act and emerging international frameworks for trustworthy AI.

A recognized contributor to AI standardization, Ilyes is actively involved in national, European, and international initiatives, including AFNOR CN IA, CEN/CENELEC JTC 21, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42, France’s SEPIA initiative, and the EUCC ISAC. He is the founder and Chair of the Embedded AI Technical Domain within the EUCC framework, helping shape cybersecurity certification approaches for AI-enabled systems.

His expertise spans AI governance, testing and evaluation, robustness, and cybersecurity. Through both standardization and applied research, Ilyes works to advance practical, reliable, and secure approaches to the development and deployment of AI technologies.
