Biography

Lorenzo Zamburru is senior certifier in ACN (Italian National Cybersecurity Agency) since 2022, where he is involved in Common Criteria certifications for the NCCA and in cyber security evaluations of ICT products related to national security.

Formerly working in the private sector, he has more than 20 years expertise in cyber security and security certification of defense systems, command and control software, naval and aerospace equipment. His first experience in Common Criteria methodology can be traced back to 2007 when he was involved in the certification of the Combat Management System and Combat System of Italian Navy frigates. Since then, his line of work has required specific knowledge of design of complex security systems, risk analysis, security accreditation methodologies for NATO. European Defense Agency and the European Space Agency.

During its career, he participated to many international research working groups in cyber security, and to many large international projects in the role of cyber security manager.

Graduated in Electronic Engineering , he also earned a master’s degree in Homeland Security in 2013.

He has also recently earned a GIAC GICSP certification and CCSK certification.
