Renaud Squelard

Renaud Squelard began his career at Oberthur Card Systems as Technical Support for the banking and transit smartcard product line. He joined SERMA Safety & Security in 2015 as ITSEF Project Leader and Lead Auditor.

As Senior Project Leader, he leads security evaluations under the Common Criteria and derived private schemes. His expertise covers Security Target and Life-Cycle documentation assessments, primarily for smartcards and similar devices, as well as secured smartcard readers and software libraries.

Currently, he manages the Banking and Telco Business Line, overseeing evaluation teams for banking smart cards, eSIMs, and access control solutions. In his role as New Schemes and Markets Development Manager, he actively pioneers emerging evaluation schemes, contributing to industry working groups including GSMA eSIM Working Group 5, SEPIA (AI evaluation working group), and the EUCC ISAC-ISCI working group, leveraging his evaluator expertise to support the development of efficient processes and documentation.
