Biography
Kristy Knowles has been a technologist since before the turn of the millennium. Her 20+ years in IT include working overseas as a defense contractor for the U.S. Army and U.S. Central Command. She joined Cisco in 2014 and is currently a Security Research Engineer responsible for taking Cisco routers and IoT devices through Common Criteria evaluation. With over 15 years of networking experience, Kristy has earned her CCNP Route/Switch, CCNA Security, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ certifications. In October 2020, she became the Network Device iTC chair. She also leads the ND iTC TLS working group (TLSWG), and is a member of the ND iTC MiNT and Editorial teams. Kristy is the Cisco representative in several NIAP Common Criteria Technical Communities and the broader International community.
