From Bottlenecks to Breakthroughs: Redefining EUCC and CRA Throughout (B13b)

As the regulatory landscape-spanning EUCC, CRA, and Critical Infrastructure -continues to evolve, maintaining efficient certification throughput has become a critical challenge for vendors, laboratories, and certification schemes alike. Today, the rapid advancement of automated vulnerability discovery tools requires vendors to release security patches and software updates at an unprecedented pace. However, the current certification ecosystem is ill-equipped for this velocity; its rigid, legacy structure is too slow to keep up with modern development cycles. This lag creates a dangerous window of exposure, leaving customers potentially vulnerable while they wait for updated, secured versions to be certified and fielded. In this session, The presenters will examine the limitations of existing throughput baselines and introduce a refined, data-driven “new math” for certification performance. The presenters will examine how to recalibrate these models to account for increased capacity and complexity. Attendees will walk away with recommendations for optimize EUCC certification, ensuring that rigorous security compliance and operational speed can coexist to better protect the end user.
