Ryan Nottingham

Ryan Nottingham is Cisco’s Global Certifications Leader, responsible for helping Cisco products achieve and maintain the cybersecurity certifications, approvals, and security assurances required to access government, defense, critical infrastructure, and highly regulated commercial markets worldwide.

Ryan leads Cisco’s Global Certifications Team, overseeing a worldwide portfolio of cybersecurity assurance and market access programs spanning FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria, government security validations, sovereign cybersecurity requirements, and emerging regulatory frameworks. He works extensively with governments, regulators, certification authorities, and industry stakeholders to address evolving cybersecurity and compliance challenges.

Ryan advises Cisco leadership, customers, and policymakers on cybersecurity assurance, certification strategy, regulatory compliance, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), EUCC, post-quantum cryptography, and global market access. Ryan is a U.S. Army veteran and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology along with GIAC certifications in cybersecurity leadership and strategic planning.
