Panel: AI Cybersecurity Evaluation – Risks and Opportunities (B30b)

Artificial intelligence is transforming cybersecurity evaluation, presenting unprecedented opportunities while introducing new risks, such as data protection, reliability of AI assisted analysis and potential loss of skills in cybersecurity evaluators. This panel will examine AI’s impact across the Common Criteria evaluation lifecycle, including but not limited to vulnerability analysis, and explore how AI is reshaping evaluation methodologies, assurance activities, calculation of attack potential and the future of trusted cybersecurity certification. Emerging standards, such us ISO/IEC 26160 and ISO/IEC 25959, are being developed to encompass the new challenges for cybersecurity evaluation posed by AI.
