Biography

Mirko Malacario is a Senior Certifier at the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN), involved in OCSI cybersecurity certification initiatives  and actively involved in international cybersecurity working groups such as ENISA and SOGIS JIWG.

Before joining ACN, Mirko worked for over a decade in the national industry, where he is involved, as INFOSEC analyst and manager, in both, national and international, projects. His mainly expertise focused on vulnerability assessment, penetration test, risk analysis, security certifications (Common Criteria) and security accreditations for industrial programs in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Defence, NATO and European Space Agency.

He also followed several research projects related to cybersecurity and certification in both military and civilian domains.

He is graduated in Computer Science Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence systems, and during his university years, and after in his early professional career, he designed  and implemented  specific  algorithms respectively for robotic behaviour, path planning, reactive navigation, and machine learning.
