Rethinking the Common Criteria Certifications in the Artificial Intelligence Era: Emerging Challenges and Key Considerations (A21a)
With the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence toward new frontiers and agentic AI, does it still make sense to approach cybersecurity certifications for products in the same way the presenters have done so far? The growth of artificial intelligence, more generally, will force us to rethink all the presenters’ work, changing the presenters’ perspectives. Inevitably, even the Common Criteria certifications will be affected. The key idea is to adopt an evolutionary, not a replacement, perspective. Roles, processes, and activities will evolve rather than be replaced, and cybersecurity certifications will likely undergo a similar transformation. This talk aims to analyse which aspects of Common Criteria certifications could be impacted by the evolution of AI, providing a structured and reasoned perspective on the topic.
