Post-Quantum vs. AVA_VAN (M23a)
Can a Dilithium signing component meet the AVA_VAN.5 security level? At this level, the evaluating laboratory operates under “gloves off” conditions, thoroughly assessing the device’s security against a highly capable adversary. The talk explores the primary attacks and countermeasures employed at this level, as well as the prospects of encountering Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) modules that fulfill the most stringent security requirements. An overview of the current physical and side-channel attack landscape against PQC hardware implementations is provided from the viewpoint of the hardware security Protection Profile.
