The Well-Documented Code: The Case for Generating Design Documentation from the Source Code (A30b)
The typical developer will document their source code reasonably well, at times substituting code comments for formal documentation entirely. Still, little effort is taken to generate documentation for evaluations from the well-documented code. This talk presents a methodology to generate TOE design documentation (TDS) and functional specification (FSP) from source code. The speakers will discuss the pitfalls and challenges in typical CC product evaluations, and explain the formal and practical benefits of automated documentation generation.
