About Toledo

Toledo is one of the Spanish cities with the greatest wealth of monuments. Known as the “city of the three cultures”, because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together there for centuries, behind its walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. This great diversity of artistic styles makes the old quarter of the capital of Castile – La Mancha a real open-air museum, which has led to it being declared a World Heritage Site.

Tuesday Dine-Around

Venta de Aires

Venta de Aires is the only centennial restaurant in Castilla-La Mancha. It is located in the heart of the Roman Circus, in the center of the beautiful city of Toledo.

During the year 2022, the typical restaurant of Toledo celebrates its 131 anniversary. Founded in 1891, this Toledo restaurant was attended by workers from the nearby Weapons Factory, devotees of the Cristo de la Vega, fishermen and bathers from the San Martín Bridge and the occasional walker in search of relief. Since then, and thanks to the good work of its home cooking, all kinds of well-known characters have sat at its tables, also attracted by the excellent quality of its products and the friendliness of its service. Today as yesterday, in its pleasant dining rooms decorated with coffered ceilings, all the traditional flavor is still appreciated.
