Developing Common Criteria Certification for 3D Printing Equipment (D20a)
An important aspect of standards work for 3D printing is the aspect of software security as it pertains to the Digital Additive Manufacturing process thread. Currently there is internationally recognized way to evaluate or certify that the Digital Thread of a 3D printer implementation for a particular product is secure. This paper will demonstrate how Common Criteria and the work on the Hardcopy Device collaborative Protection Profile can be applied to 3D printers and the Digital AM process thread.
