Security Technology Standards Matrix: A Tool to Understand Global Security Requirements and Simplify Compliance (L02a)
Worldwide the number of security regulations for end devices is increasing. From the US and Latin America, to Europe and across Asia, more National Agencies are launching their own mandates focusing on secure communication, storage, cryptography, RoT and attestation services. While such requirements are fundamental for ensuring security, it is a challenge for stakeholders to determine which technologies and certifications they should select to ensure compliance.
This presentation will introduce the ‘Security Standards Matrix’ – an ambitious project by GlobalPlatform’s Security Task Force. The matrix maps global security regulations to the contributions of GlobalPlatform’s technical committee and task force members, who have been actively contributing to enhance the security of end devices for over 20 years. The goal is to provide clarity on the complex regulatory landscape, and help stakeholders understand which standardized technologies and certifications address specific national and market requirements.
