Strong Digital Identity as an Enabler for Adaptive Security and How It Fits into Certification (L21a)

Data is the lifeblood of the connected world. Data is gathered, stored, analyzed, and acted upon. This data is also an enabler in combating attacks from small to large scale. The security data is gathered and analyzed, and mitigation is taken whether that is through isolation of devices or security patching. This though relies on one critical aspect – a strong digital identity. This talk will look at digital identity and how it plays its part in maintaining not only a security device but also a secure eco-system. This also leads to key work packages and challenges for third party certification. How do you test and validate this secure identity when, for example, a device could be made up of several pieces? Also, how do you certify this product or system if the security functionality keeps adapting to the threat landscape?
