Biography
Program Committee Member.
Erin Connor has been a member of the ICCC Program Committee beginning with ICCC2018 in Amsterdam, and worked for a number of years before that to reconstitute the conference as a permanent and independent meeting for CC professionals. He has made numerous presentations at ICCC and at the International Cryptographic Module Conference, as well as moderating a variety of track sessions for both conferences.
Erin began with a successful career as an electronics and systems engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy. Upon his retirement from the RCN in 1994 he joined EWA-Canada working on a variety of systems engineering projects. In 2004 Erin was promoted to Director of Canada’s premier IT Security Evaluation & Testing Facility incorporating a FIPS 140 Cryptographic Module Test Lab, a Common Criteria Test Lab, a Payment Card Industry PIN Transaction Security (PCI PTS) Test Lab and other specialised test and R&D capabilities after having earlier helped stand up, accredit and manage the test labs through their initial years.
Since parting company with EWA in February of 2019 Erin has kept his hand in by helping a number of companies interested in pursuing testing and certification of their security products around his important duties as a grandfather. He has a Master of Science in Systems Science from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria.
