Biography

Hirotaka Yoshida is currently the team leader of the security assurance scheme research team at Cyber Physical Security Research Center (CPSEC) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). His research focuses on security certification schemes, lightweight cryptography, embedded device security, secure system design. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2013. From 2001 to 2016, he was with the Research & Development Group, Hitachi, Ltd.

Since 2007, he has contributed to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 2 (Cryptography and security mechanisms) and he currently serves the Convener of this working group. He serves as the Secretary-General of the ICSS-JC (IC System Security Japan Consortium), a position he has held since April 2022. In 2013, he won the award of industrial standardization that has been granted by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
