Luis Jimenez is the Deputy Director of the National Criptologic Centre (CCN), that belongs to the National Intelligence Centre (CNI) and that it is acting as National Communications Security Agency (NCSA).
Lieutenant Colonel from the Spanish Army, he is a cryptology specialist and decryption specialist from the former Defence Information Centre (CESID), nowadays the CNI. He has a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and Communications Systems Management (ICT) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the National Institute of Public Administration. He is also a graduate of the XL Course of National Defense and he has several certifications as IT security manager. He is a current member of the National Cybersecurity Council and the Spanish representative at IT Security and Cybersecurity boards of EU Council and NATO.
Among the main tasks of his current position are the promotion and development of the National Cybersecurity Strategy, the support for the implementation of National Security Framework at public sector, the improvement of IT security incidents response capacity and the improvement of IT security evaluation and certification capacity.
