Sooyoung Kang

Sooyoung Kang is the Head of Security Certification for the Semiconductor Business at Samsung Electronics. She has over 17 years of experience in security certification, based on expertise in Security Engineering and the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Her expertise covers a wide range of certifications, including Common Criteria (CC), EMVCo, SESIP, and site certifications, supporting the development and commercialization of secure semiconductor products. Her interests include advancing practical security assurance frameworks for hardware and emerging computing platforms and promoting globally harmonized certification approaches. More recently, she has expanded her focus to Protection Profile (PP) development and various security certification programs, actively contributing to international standardization efforts as a member of the ISCI Working Group.
